Me too until recently... When I get them home I put them in the vegetable keeper in the fridge and it stops them from ripening... Another one is wrapping lettuce in tin foil and it stays fresh for 3 weeks to almost a month.

@palin @crk5 A common mistake as well is putting them next to apples.

Those fruits really don't like each other. Some chemical interaction I think.
